Support Artists for the Holidays

So, you're looking to buy a few presents for the people you care about, but you'd rather spend your money supporting local artists and companies than go shopping on Amazon? We think that's a great idea, and we're planning to do the same. Well, look no further, as we've collected some of our favorite artists from our community for you to support in your holiday shopping quest.

You don't need a crazy expensive collection to support local artists. You can simply support by buying merch, prints, and art books. Some great examples of these from our community are listed below.

→MBD Classic Striped Shirt $30

Marley Billie D - MBD Classic Striped Shirt $30

Marley Billie D is a multiply talented St. Louis artist, who was part of the “In Living Color” Art show in 2018 our CWE Location.  She now has an office downtown for her new eclectic and creative clothing brand. Marley Billie D dropped their first collection this year and there are plenty of good options, including handmade adult activity books and this clean MBD Striped Shirt, which I am probably going to gift to myself.

You can check out Marley’s site for the full collection here

Farfetched - Darker Gods LP by Damon Davis $40

Farfetched is a community record label run by Damon Davis, Darian Wigfall, and Charles Purnell.  They had a podcast recording studio in our CWE location and have been hard at work building out a new full-scale studio in our Grove location.  I know they can’t wait to be able to show it to you all and we can’t wait to be able to host events over there.  Until then you can always support them by buying some of their merch, or limited press vinyls, like the Darker Gods LP from founder Damon Davis.

Edo Rosenblith - PINK! $35

Edo has been a staple in our community for as long as TechArtista has been around. He has taken over every free mural wall in our flagship Central West End location. While Edo's artwork detail work justifies his price tag, he sells several things at under $50 that would make great gifts. His original publication PINK! Is a great coffee table book of sketches. If you're looking to wear the art, instead of leaving it on the table, you could pick up one of his t-shirts.
